Fr. Padraig was appointed as Parish Priest in July 2009. The eldest of four, he is a native of Killarney, where his father still lives. He was ordained in 1990 and spent his first 6 years as chaplain to Millstreet Community School. Then he was appointed as curate in St John's Parish, Tralee, where he spent 13 years.


Fr. Amos Surungai Ruto

Fr Amos is from the diocese of Kitale in Kenya in East Africa. He is the third eldest of a family of six, one sister and four brothers. His mother is still alive, but his father died many years ago. He was ordained to the priesthood in February 2018. He came to minister in the Diocese of Kerry in August 2019 and was appointed to our parish in August 2020.


Sr. de Lourdes

Sr deLourdes

Sr. de Lourdes, a native of Scartaglen, is the Parish Sister. She has spent most of her working life in education, teaching in Ballybunion and later in Holy Family School, Tralee for many years. She was appointed as Parish Sister in 1999. As the long­est serving member of staff, she reminds people that she was appointed in the last century! Sr de Lourdes takes responsibility for the groups that use the Pastoral Centre. She also does some parish visitation. She is involved with the Rainbows Project which supports young people who are coping with bereavement. She is also working with the following groups: St Vincent de Paul, St Joseph’s Young Priests Society, Pioneers (PTAA), Baptism Group, Mothers Prayer Group and the Parish Pastoral Council.
