Paddy Brosnan was conferred with a Benemerenti medal at the Vigil Mass (6.30pm) on Saturday May 31st. The benemerenti medal is conferred on those who have given long and exceptional service to the Catholic Church, their families and to the community. Paddy has served our parish community very faithfully over the years including his involvement as a minister of the word, a member of the fundraising committee, organising music and dancing for Club Ide, and a server at the 9.30am Mass each day for many many years. He continues to serve in all these roles; a great commitment for a man who is 86 years old!!
